Village People - In the navy 

Después del enorme éxito comercial de su éxito de 1978 " YMCA ", que inesperadamente se convirtió en el himno no oficial y la poderosa herramienta publicitaria de la YMCA ,  el grupo se enfrentó a otra institución nacional, la Armada de los Estados Unidos. La Armada se puso en contacto con el director del grupo, Henri Belolo , para utilizar la canción en una campaña publicitaria de reclutamiento para televisión y radio. Belolo cedió los derechos de forma gratuita con la condición de que la Armada les ayudara a grabar el vídeo musical. Menos de un mes después, el grupo Village llegó a la Base Naval de San Diego , donde la Marina les proporcionó acceso a filmar en la cubierta de la fragata atracada USS Reasoner.
